KINKY TAIL

Yes, there is such a thing and we will see this defect from time to time and is commonly seen in piglets. It is due to two or more adjoining caudal vertebrae being fused.

The cause seems to be due to a recessive gene factor. As the piglet matures you will notice that the end of the tail will become flacid and drop off. Be vigilant and give an antibiotic spray and keep it clean.
